Since its incarnation in 1989, Carhartt WIP have built strong organic relationships with inspiring figures in music and sport, becoming an iconic and well-respected brand in underground scenes, from hip-hop to skateboarding. Leading to a whole host of collaborations. While Pop Trading Company’s identity is built on skateboarding and has its own team of skateboarders in the heart of the famous Red Light District. It also hosts skate sessions in the city, as well as organising collaborations with artists, photographers and other brands. A signifier that both brands blend their heritage of contemporary menswear styles into support for an array of cultural spheres.
Set to release on October 26th, the collaboration sees Carhartt WIP classics such as the Detroit Jacket and the Nimbus Pullover filtered through the lens of Pop Trading Company. The collection comprises of signature Pop Trading Company elements as well, such as corduroy pants, nylon and stripe motifs. The capsule collection is rounded off with staple wardrobe accessories in the form of a co-branded bag and a tasselled beanie. Each item is finished with a subtle Carhartt WIP X Pop trading Company label.
