Paying homage to the borderless creativity of the iconic adidas Originals City Series, the event on Saturday 16th November will feature an evening of live music and DJs at SEVENSTORE’s Baltic Triangle retail and creative space, running from 4pm-8pm.
Live music will be performed by nu-jazz ensemble Ash Walker Experience, who represent the city of London on the City Series compilation. Further music will be provided by Liverpool stalwarts No Fakin DJs and With Love DJs.
Laces Out! 5th Birthday attendees will receive free entry to the event with a further 10% instore discount on the day. The festival, which is separately ticketed, takes place at Camp & Furnace from 1pm-5pm, a short walk from SEVENSTORE’s retail and creative space.
Fusing a heritage conscious design with contemporary pan-European creativity, the reissued adidas Originals City Series adds a modern focus to its humble origins.
To mark the latest run of City Series reissues since July, SEVENSTORE has produced a bespoke, limited edition, physical format only 10’’ vinyl featuring artists from Liverpool, London and Oslo, with one further artist still to be announced. Retracing the footsteps of authentic terrace culture and transcontinental football fandom, the record sonically traverses between four European hubs to provide the listener with a passport stamp journey of exploration and discovery.
Aiming to bring a contemporary snapshot of each city’s prevailing musical scene, the record will feature Liverpool hip-hop artist MC Nelson, London based nu-jazz multi-instrumentalist Ash Walker, Oslo ambient and techno producer André Bratten, with the fourth artist set to be revealed in the coming weeks.
The record will also be gifted free with purchases of the next release in the City Series or if you’re one of the first 100 people to attend on the evening.
Entry to the City Series record launch party is free to members of the public but excludes the Laces Out 5th Birthday attendees 10% discount.
